Forest conservation and preservation

Preserving the Amazon for future generations

Our mission is to preserve the Amazon Rainforest, one of the richest and most essential ecosystems on the planet. We have created a protected area of over 16,500 hectares, most of which is intact primary forest. Our biodiversity inventory has revealed the richness of this territory, identifying 831 species of animals and 434 species of trees.

As a next step, we are moving towards community-based biodiversity conservation, involving the local population in protecting this natural heritage. This includes:

  • Training rangers to monitor and protect the area
  • Using drones, satellite data and interactive applications for effective surveillance
  • Establishing a sustainable hunting calendar, ensuring ecological balance

We believe that conservation is the path to a sustainable future, ensuring that future generations can learn about and benefit from the wealth of the Amazon.

Health

Healthy land and healthy lives

We believe that health is the foundation for strong and sustainable communities. That's why we are committed to improving access to medical care through key initiatives, including:

  • Construction of wells to guarantee clean water. Lack of access to clean water is the main cause of illness in the region
  • Establishing a health center, ensuring accessible and quality care
  • Training health professionals, strengthening local health care capacity
  • Regular preventive care, promoting well-being and quality of life for all

Our goal is to build a health system that meets the needs of the Iracema community in a lasting way.

Food security and sustainable sources of income

From forest to table – nourishment and income in harmony

Forest preservation must go hand in hand with the well-being of local communities. That's why we're investing in initiatives that guarantee food security and sustainable sources of income, including:

  • Creation of a cooperative, promoting the local economy and collective work
  • Research and training for sustainable rubber extraction, respecting the forest
  • Implementation of a tree nursery and the first hectare of agroforestry, combining production and conservation
  • Start of poultry farming, guaranteeing a source of food and income for the community

Our goal is to build a sustainable model that generates opportunities without compromising biodiversity.

Education

Learning as a Right, Growing as a Community

Education is the basis for a sustainable and prosperous future. To ensure that children and young people in the region have access to quality education, we are implementing essential improvements such as:

  • Renovating the school and modernizing the infrastructure, including solar energy, drinking water and safe transportation
  • Provision of school materials, so that all students have the tools they need to learn
  • Training and meetings for teachers, promoting professional development and strengthening education in the community

With these initiatives, we aim to create a more accessible, inclusive and sustainable learning environment.

Isolated Indigenous groups

Respecting Distance, Protecting Autonomy

There are several isolated Indigenous groups in the region who depend on the forest for their survival and culture. To guarantee their protection and respect their way of life, it is essential to prevent the invasion of their territory.

Our commitment is to act to halt the advance of deforestation and cattle ranches in the region, ensuring that these communities can continue to live independently.

The preservation of these groups is fundamental not only for the protection of their rights, but also for the maintenance of biodiversity and environmental balance. Together, we can ensure that their existence is respected and protected!

Infrastructure

Connecting communities, respecting the forest

To strengthen forest conservation and improve the quality of life of local communities, we are investing in sustainable infrastructure. Our projects include:

  • Construction of a visitor center, promoting environmental education and responsible tourism
  • Creation of a base in the nearest town, Jordão, facilitating logistics and support for operations
  • Restoring springs, ensuring clean water and preserving water resources
  • Installing solar energy in the villages, providing a clean and renewable source of electricity
  • Implementing a solar-powered boat, promoting sustainable transportation in the region

We work with a focus on the essentials: quality of life for the communities and lasting protection for the territory.
